The Hurford House is a 14-unit apartment community created to provide affordable housing for low-income, disabled residents. It is conveniently located just east of downtown Plymouth, Indiana.
Amenities: Gas, heat, electric, cable, water, sewage, recycling and trash are all economically included with the rent at Hurford House. Hurford House also offers its residents a convenient on-site laundry facility and a comfortable Community Room for recreation and special events.
Martin’s Supermarket and Older Adult Services provide one free round trip per week Monday-Friday to Martin’s Supermarket to do grocery shopping. However, Martin’s is just a very short distance from your front door (one block).

Location: Hurford House is located on Berkley Street north of the Oliver Ford dealership. The Plymouth Public Library, post office and neighborhood center are within a short distance of the community. Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center is located 2 miles away. Martin’s Supermarket is a short distance away and Kroger is in town, along with People’s Drug Store, CVS, WalGreens, K-Mart and WalMart and many other retailers in the area.
Rental Requirements: We ask that applicants complete a rental application packet. This includes an application, credit consent, police check, consent to release form, sex offender check, landlord verification and any other items that may pertain to the applicant. Applicants for Hurford House must meet the income guidelines and rental criteria for approval. Please contact our friendly site manager for details on the income limits and the application process.
Rental Rates: Please contact our rental office for annual income limits. Rent is based on 30% of the resident's adjusted income.
Directions: From Highway 31, take 9A Road West. Turn north off of 9A Road on Columbus Drive. The first street to your right is Berkley Street and the 1st housing complex on the left is the Hurford House.
From Highway 30, take Oak Road South. Follow Oak Road to Lincoln Hwy (Family Express and Diary Queen are at this intersection), turn left (East). Lincoln Hwy will turn into Jefferson Street. Follow Jefferson to Columbus Drive. The first street to your right is Berkley Street and the 1st housing complex on the left is the Hurford House.
